Our Story
Founded with a deep appreciation for Springfield’s cultural and historical heritage – a site that has shaped Springfield’s educational and cultural history since 1857, Preserve Springfield Ursuline was created to ensure that the Academy’s legacy is never lost. Through restoration projects, careful preservation, and community engagement, we work tirelessly to maintain the beauty and significance of this historic landmark.
Our Mission
We aim to:
- Preserve the historic architecture and cultural heritage of Ursuline Academy
- Engage the community through events, educational programs, and public access
- Sustain ongoing restoration projects with the support of donations and partnerships

Our Venues
In addition to our preservation efforts, we offer two unique event spaces: The Abbey, a small and intimate non-denominational chapel, and The Conservatory, a versatile space perfect for larger gatherings. Hosting your event here allows you to create lasting memories while directly supporting our preservation work.
